onePercent. India – providing an avenue

The mission of “onePercent. India” is fairly simple.  We are fully committed to providing funds for the improvement of lives throughout India.  We provide an avenue for individuals and businesses to give one percent of their income to radically change the lives of people economically and spiritually in India. 

Currently, 100% of funds we receive are going directly to Gospel Friends Ministry (www.gospelfriends.in).  They are an orgaization that was established in 1992 in Coimbatore, India and is currently headquartered in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.  Brother R.C. Ghunakumar is the founder of GFM and one of the most amazing people I have met.  Gospel Friend’s provides sewing training, elementary and college education, medical clinics, children’s home, village outreach programs, and church planting.

Sewing Training – Anyone is welcome.  Each class mainly consists of Hindu ladies from nearby villages who go through the sewing training in hopes of creating an income for their family.  When an individual completes the course they are presented with a free sewing machine and the opportunity to start a small sewing business to help provide for their family.                                           

Education education.jpg - On the campus there are two schools, Living Hope College and Living Hope Elementary School.  The schools provide an accredited education for orphans and College Students who come from all over India.

Medical Clinics -   Again, come as you are!  The Living Hope medical clinics provide an innexpensive way for anyone to receive medical treatment. 

Children’s Home children.jpg - There are over 200 orphans who are fed, clothed, and educated at the Living Hope Children’s Home.

Village Outreach Programs village-children.jpg -  As part of their Curriculum, the student at the college provide an outreach program to surrounding villages and adopt villages that are receptive.  Each weekend they travel to new villages and establish relationships.

Church Planting church.jpg - Brother R.C. Ghunakumar has established churches and aid all over India.  They help sponsor missionaries in villages who were touched by their outreach programs.
